International NewsDay
Funded in part by Robert H. Michel Civic Education Grants
Students become involved in international affairs as they
create their own newspaper based on articles by global
student correspondents. Have your students ever created a newspaper of
their own? Would
they like to? In the Newsday Project, students write articles and
post them for the whole world to see! Then they read and choose articles
from other schools to download and include in their own newspaper! Students'
reading and writing skills will improve while they learn about current
local, national, and global issues. Newsday currently takes place
twice each year.
